Jason and Jay, a father and son race team based out of Canaan CT will be making their annual return to the “Hard Clay” today (weather permitting). Jason who finished 7th in points at Lebanon Valley, collected 3 feature wins this season and has plans to wrap his season up with an ESW win. Of course that task won’t be easy as not only does he have a strong contingent of racers to go through, standing in front of him is his own team mate and dad, Jay Casey. Jay finished 10th in points this year at Lebanon Valley and scored one win, but is always a force to be reckoned with at ESW. Jay was the winner of the 2010 Championship 30 lapper on the Hard Clay.
The road to ESW was no easy one, as both racers faced a full-fledged field of around 25 pro stockers weekly on the high banks of Lebanon Valley. Multiple blown motors plagued the team, including 2 of them at last weeks practice, but perseverance is the key in a successful race team and The Casey’s will be coming back looking for a win in the 25 lap event!
Good Luck to The Casey’s and all the other Pro Stockers tonight (or this weekend) in their Championship event!
